Angela’s Sweet 16 Party

I booked my daughter’s Sweet 16 this year on The Royal Princess.. The planning for this event was the easiest big party we ever had. When I walked on the boat that night, I was so surprized not only to see the amount of food but how beautiful it was displayed. We had such a great time as well with all the 125 kids on board. They danced and ate and enjoyed all the sites of the New York Harbor.

I couldnt help the tears as we passed the Statue of Liberty because I thought of my maternal grandmother who arrived on these same waters when she was only 16, and certainly didn’t have what we provided for our children. She moved here for a better life for her and her family and worked so hard to make our lives better. We are so blessed to have all the family and friends and good health that our immigrant ancestors wanted us to have.

Planning this event wasn’t hard, even though we changed the entire menu around and decor on the Royal Princess to set up a “club type ” atmosphere.

Lezlee was there for me, as the voice of reason. Lezlee was the main reason why I booked this venue. Her reassuring soft calm voice got me through all my questons about the boat and how things can be done. She knows what will work, and will never say it can’t be done.

Also, Capt Rob will go out of his way to make sure every detail is attended to, exactly the way you want it to be, even if it means changing the menu, moving a dance floor, and changing the floor plan. I can’t thank him enough for his efforts. He went out of his way for us for so many things, even getting the sweet potato fries. He is always working on the Royal Princess, caring and keeping it so beautiful.

Captain Derek manages to create the smoothest and scenic cruise ever. We didn’t miss a site and were exactly on time. The views were breathtaking, and it was so enjoyable to have such a confident captain.

We hired the yacht recommended event planner, Kathleen Brochin, who was so amazing, creative and organized. She takes so much pride in what she does. She loves her work, and it showed. I can’t tell you how many details she attended to. She came up with lucite display boxes for the 1000 mini cupcakes to be displayed on, with grass trim and flowers. It was so breathtaking. She was there from an early hour and stayed way after the event. She was the watchful eye, making sure all the details were exactly as we wanted them. You should have seen my daughter’s smile, the entire night. My thanks to her, for making it so succesful.

The crew on this ship was considerate, attentive, and so pleasant. They were around to help and serve nonstop. The kids enjoyed their cheerfulness. Everything was “in order’ The boat was kept clean, and guests were cared for. We didn’t have any alcohol, and the one bartender was everyone’s favorite with his smiles, pleasant converstaion and jokes!

Oscar, the DJ, had a great gig going on. The kids didn’t stop dancing. It was easy. No need for motivators! He is so pleasant and has great equipment. The sound was awesome and the playlist was endless. We loved him!

This was truely a magical night. Everyone orchestrated and worked so hard to make it so perfect. I cannot forget this party, and thank goodness for the photographer that Lezlee reccommended, Yishai, who captured the entire story from beginning to end.

I can’t thank Lezlee and Capt Rob enough for making this the best time for Caroline!! …..

Caroline Levy’s Bat Mitzvah

Lezlee,
I am still in the clouds over how wonderful the day was. Everything was perfect. The food was better than I expected, the staff was lovely, the set- up worked perfectly for the flow of guests throughout the boat.
Everyone was great! I especially want to thank you for putting me in touch with Kathleen—she was amazing. Katie was as sweet as can be, and the male dancer she hired was terrific with the kids. He really knew how to draw them out. It was truly a wonderful event!

Sabrina’s Communion Party

The event surpassed my expectations. I knew it would be a special affair but this party was beyond what I had imagined. All had a great time.

I loved having a direct line to the owner of the boat. You don’t find that with most boat/yacht companies, in fact, I searched a while before finding the actual owner of the boat who walked me through every step of the planning process; with patience! I enjoyed all conversations with Lezlee and loved having her cell phone; it was nice to know she would always answer! On board, the Maitre D, Katie, was most helpful. She was great to work with the day of the party as was Captain Rob. We used him for a few photo opportunities with the Captain’s wheel and it meant the world to both my children that they were able to go and actually drive the boat! They will NEVER forget that!

One more note, the chef, Anatoli, was terrific too. He checked with me several times to make sure that I was satisfied with both the amount and the quality of the food. Sabrina will never forget her communion celebration aboard the Royal Princess! I would love to do my son Jimmy’s communion party aboard the Royal Princess, that will be Spring, 2012!

Rob was right. How can we describe what a wonderful job you both did to make Cathy and Gregg’s and our day so fantastic. The food displays, dinner, and fabulous desserts were outstanding. “All of my guests were overhwlmed by the hospitality and service from your staff. The phone calls have not stopped. They want to send me a thank you for inviting them. Keep doing the Statue of Liberty pause in the tour. Everybody has so many comments on how excited they were. Make sure you keep the chef. The food was excellent. My guests were truly surprised. They never expected to see our favorites! You were right about how good your Dee Jay would be.”

A fun filled night, seeing amazing sights of the NY skyline and in good company.

We have booked our annual New York boat cruise with NY Boat Charter for many, many years. Each year, the planning has been taken care of seamlessly, the attention given to the detail and the special requirements of our group has been wonderful. Each year, even on different boats, we have enjoyed a fabulous night that is memorable by all. Our group is typically people from Britain, and without exception, they all say, this is the best night they spend in NY. Watching the NY skyline float by, sipping champagne and eating dinner cannot be topped.

Thank you for such a wonderful night (again!).

The boat was wonderful & the set up great! The food was good & the dj was AWESOME! We had a fabulous time. The weather allowed folks to enjoy the upper deck and just relax and have a good time!

WONDERFUL & PROFESSIONAL & ACCOMODATING

This is our 2^nd year and chances are – we will be back next year!

My fellow co-workers had an amazing time – the boat, the food, the dj – everything was wonderful; the only complaint was that the trip was not longer! I have already recommended NY Boat Charter to other people looking to schedule corporate events.

Lezlee,

We will gladly pass your survey on to some of the chaperones. The early feedback (at 3am) from the chaperones was that everything went well and the kids had a great time. We can’t ask for more than that. I’m sure that my Co- chairs for Op Grad 2008 will also be sending you a note, but let me offer my sincere thanks to you and your husband for pulling this together so quickly and helping us “save” our event. I don’t know what we would have done without you, but I know our kids would not have been able to have the wonderful celebration we parents spent the past year planning for them without your help!
